Generally a university offers most of these engineering courses. The duration of an undergraduate (UG) course is 4 years and that of a graduate course is 2 years. There are many tests to take up to enroll in an engineering course. For UG admissions a student must take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). They are of two types – Reasoning Tests (consisting of Verbal and Quantitative mathematics multiple choice questions) and Subject Tests (consisting of specific subject various choice questions). The requisites of the test vary from one engineering college to the other.

For graduate courses the students need to take up Graduate record Examination (GRE). This exam consists of a verbal section and a quantitative mathematics section. Sometimes the students have to take Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) for non-native English speakers. There are authorized websites and books which provide samples of the engineering practice tests. These engineering practice tests can be booked online through the internet and taken up at any of the Educational Testing Service (ETS) authorized Engineering Practice Test centre all around the world. The whole process is simple if you are well informed of the details. On the whole an engineering degree is completed only by a well deserving candidate and such a candidate enjoys a privileged status in the society.
